The Band by: "Rekeeda.P"

I really liked working on this project because i had to set up the whole seen that the dolls were sitting on so it wouldnt be just dolls sitting on a tabele.I had to open the curtains so the sun would come in because it was dark in the room that i was taking the pictures. i think that taking the pictures at eye level really brought the feel of the dolls being more life like.I wish that i focused a little more on the dolls with more of my projets to create more scenes sice i have more dolls and different sizes.

The Two Hats That Sat by Veronica S.

I did this photo for a contrast project. It's one of my favorite's that i've done in photo class. It makes me think of Woodstock, my favorite place in the world.

Untitled by Megan F.

This photo was taken about a month ago in a train on Rt. 209 in Hurley. I am really happy with how this came out, however, it took a lot of burning and dodging for it to come out right. It was so bright out that day, and the sun reflected on just about everything.

Conscience by Alexandria D.

I've always loved candid photos but now I appreciate even more the skill and practice involved in waiting for just the right moment in every situation. The moment when your subject relaxes and lets their guard down. The moment where you can almost read their thoughts in their eyes,on their faces, and through their bodies.
I feel like this picture is a culmination of everything I learned in photo class. I used contrast filters, double exposure, a balanced composition and a touch of my own portrait style. The result is this picture of Julianna and her tiny counterparts. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Waffle House by Krista B.

On a trip in North Carolina. Something about this photo makes the waffle house seem empty, but I had the best service here. I love the way this picture came out.

Meredith on a Swing By: Larissa L

I like this picture because it doesn't look posed. I had a good time taking pictures of Meredith because she was cooperative and a great subject. I think I did well with this picture and I wouldn't change it. It took many tries to get a good exposure and I am happy with it. :)

untitled

I like this photo because it is one of my best and I like taking photos of graffiti. I thought this was a cool picutre.

Juse

I foud that i really like to take pictures of graffiti. Especially when its graffiti that has alot of color and detail like this one.

untitled by Todd R.

For this photo i strayed away from my usual portraits and tried something new. It turned out to be successful.

Strangers in the city:Christina W.

My photo reflexs the style of photography I like. Its candid and I personally think has lots of life.It was taken in new york city using the natural sun light.I really enjoy this picture,I think people add alot to a photo and I think my shot was very succesful

Flowers by Amethyst M.

This was taken in my livingroom with the light shining through the window. I didn't know how well this would come out until I saw it in the darkroom. I think this photograph is very successful because the subject stands out very well.

Night Light by Becky L

I thought this photo was one of the most creative. i decided to choose a more difficult subject when picking what to do my project on. i think that this photo was very successful. I learned to use the camera in a new way with using "B" and timimg myself for certain amounts of time. I thought that developing these negatives was very accomplishing. This was definatly one of the more fun projects.

Fallen Cross by Kelly T.

This is a tombstone at a cemetery in Kingston. I thought this was very powerful and after playing around with contrast filters I finally got a composition I liked.

Eddyville Bridge by Kelly T.

This is a picture of a bridge near my house. I took a whole roll of 24 of just this bridge, and I liked my results. This is one of my favorite photos from it.

Fair Street Church by Kelly T.

This is a picture of a Church in Kingston which I took several photos of. My favorite part of this picture is the architecture of the windows, Church windows are always so different and beautful, from stained glass to unusual shapes. I really wanted to capture a different angle of the Church, and I think I was successful at it.

'spy' by Morgan R.

With my photos, I focus so much on getting to the end of the process; which is, to me, just having the photo in my hands, I don't pay enough attention to detail in the developing process... I rush. And I realize now that it shows up in the end, I'd really like to work more on that. Taking my time and putting everything into the process, because now I know how much it will show up in the end product.

Untitled by Cait S.

Well, by the end of my first semester, I found that I loved to take portraits. So for my entire second semester, I took portraits. I don't know what makes them so fun for me. I guess it might be the ability to truly capture a persons most precious life moments. I took this picture while my sister was in the hospital after having her third child. I thought she was going to get upset at me, but I guess shes sorta used to me taking pictures of her kids. So she was pretty tolerant of me.

tree by Alida M.

This lonely tree expresses a certain forsakeness and deserted feeling. That is why I like it.

Rock Wall by Marissa P

The photo was taken in the Oudoor Ed gym class offered at the high school. Dean is climbing the rock wall over in the field house. It is something different that not many people have taken pictures of.

joyous frolicing by Stephanie J.

this photo was sort of the opposite of the first photo i posted. it wasn't really planned; she found a wind-up turtle toy in my bathroom when i took it, and i think it shows the opposite of the depressing state in the other photo.

reflection by Stephanie J.

This photo was completely prearranged, but i still didn't expect it to come out the way it did, especially because it was taken inside, and normally i'm not very good at taking indoor pictures. i was trying to portray a woman in mid-life crisis who is reflecting on her past, sort of in a vulnurable state.

this photo was totally unplanned but i am very pleased how it came out. the shadow of the hands framing the light really makes the picture a great composition,

DIM FINGER

By Vince A. This photo is a class favorite with its unique boarder, and it's amazing crystal clearness. It's contrast is something that stands out right away and compiments the photo. The photo also does something differen than most photos with the fore ground out of focus and the back ground in focus. The dim finger has a little bit of sin in it which is always good!

"Meatyard Style Photo" by Joey A.

This, I believe, is one of my best works to date, because of its uniquness and its haunting capturing shot. It can be very disturbing, that's how Meatyard makes his photos, haunting and provocative. This is haunting and provocative. That's what made this photo successful.

Ice by Becca H.

This picture captures two of my favroite things, rocks and ice. It is very difficult to capture ice melting, and I feel I did it well. The rock behind the ice is the face of a cliff, in Rosendale. It was taken on a very warm day in Febuary. The place it was taken is very special to me.

untitled by Sarah M

When I came across this building I was taken by the old rusted stairs and cracked brick with the several windows it contained. After taking a photo of this I thought it came out very successful and had everything I was going for. This photo holds good contrast and has a symmetrical look to it. I also like the pattern it holds with the repition of the windows.

Ghostly Vince by Nick A.

This photo was a difficult picture to make more than take. I took the photo inside so lighting was dim but the large window behind my subjects added an imoressive amount of light. To add to the contrast of the photo I printed on #4 contrast paper and filtered the light with a #5 filter and that greatly increased the contrast.

Nostalgic Bliss DeSean W

When I took this photo I was trying to capture a feeling of happiness and joy because when I was younger I would skate and play with my friends on this street. But when I took the picture it was cloudy and and the picture doesn't quite describe was I was trying to capture, but I ended up still liking the photo.
