Taking pictures of nature has always been something i liked to do. But flowers are one of my favorates because they always look soft in black and white. I picked this flower because it was very light and the background was very dark, so it makes the flower stand out more in the photo.

This photo was taken on our trip to storm king, among the world famous sculptures by highly respected artists that broke the sky, I spotted something slightly more interesting. Using a larger zoom lens I was able get closer to the subject than normally possible while still keeping an even depth of feild keeping the entire subject in focus.
